Friday, July 22 11:00 am – 3 pm.
Let’s go out to lunch and a trip down memory lane and beyond.
First, we will load up the church vans and go out for delicious wood-fired pizza. Then we will head over to Ye Ole Carriage Shop for a personal tour given by the museum’s owner, Lloyd Ganton. Ye Ole Carriage Shop offers a fantastic collection of diversified automobiles and collectable memorabilia. This museum is a delight!
$10.00 pays for both lunch and the museum. RSVP to Marilyn mwagner@southlife.org or sign up at the Legacy information wall by room 111. Let me know about dietary needs. Even G-F works!

FUN ALERT!!! Are you a super fun-loving, super cool South senior adult(55+) looking for fellowship and a little exercise as well? You’re in luck! Come check out Legacy’s newly-formed pickleball group, the Dillies Pickleball Players! Never heard of or played the game? This group is for YOU! We’re a non-competitive, non-scoring, just-have-fun group of beginners. We’ll meet one Wednesday a month through the summer, then move to Mondays in the fall. Equipment will be provided (or bring your own).
The summer schedule is June 29, July 27, and August 31, 3-4:30 p.m., in the church gym. If interested, contact Karen Philbrook at 217-649-2908 or karenphilbrook@gmail.com, OR sign up @ the Legacy information area near room 111. You DON’T want to miss this!!!

This Sunday we will have the opportunity to celebrate communion together, live and online. We are glad for the opportunity to participate again in something that followers of Jesus have been celebrating for over 2000 years, as we focus on the atoning death of our Savior.
Not all of us we will be able to be together physically, but we will be together spiritually, sharing in God’s Word, so we put together this “Communion at Home Guide” for you.
- Prepare your own bread and cup to use during the communion time.
- Before the service, spend time prayerfully reflecting on the sacrifice of Jesus. We encourage you to read passages like Luke 22:7-20 and 1 Corinthians 11: 23-28 to help you prepare as well.
- Spend time examining your heart before the service. We believe that the Communion meal is for believers, members of Christ’s body, who are sincerely following Him.
- Talk to your kids about communion. Perhaps share your story of coming to faith in Christ with them (and guide them as to whether they themselves should participate at this time).
- Join us for our online service this Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!
We’re so looking forward to worshipping together with you, as we share in music of worship, receive God’s Word and celebrate communion together.

Legacy Summer Picnic
Fun times are planned for Thursday, August 11, 4pm in the gym. Legacy’s Summer Picnic will have a new twist this year–an auction! You will be given 100 “dollars” to spend. Bid wisely! Our own Andy Luce will provide music and fun. Bring a nice, but no-longer-needed, item to be auctioned. Also plan to bring a dessert, side dish or $10 – or sign up to help. RSVP by contacting Marilyn, in the church office, or sign up at the Legacy information board (near room 111)

Please bring something good that goes well with hot dogs and s’mores, and a lawn chair. Let’s enjoy fellowship with other seniors. If we have inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
